@EchoLeeNumber2 11 year old me leaving the theater and literally jumping up and down saying “that was the coolest movie I’ve ever seen!” Completely rewired my brain.

Not an exaggeration to say it felt like the world had changed, when the credits rolled. It was a very special time in cinema

What I wouldn’t give to have seen this on the big screen back in 99.

Once again thinking about the extremely sick behind cover shotgun-on-a-rope yo-yo trick Chow Yun-fat pulls in Lau Kar-leung's Tiger on the Beat (1988). Would likely be the most memorable action beat in a setpiece that didn't also feature a Gordon Liu swashbuckling chainsaw fight.

Pretty bummed about the passing of Tom Noonan. Some of my earliest movie memories are of him in Last Action Hero & Robocop 2, and he creeped me the hell out as a kid. Such a unique and welcome presence in any movie, and by all accounts, a wonderful person.
