I go back to what I have been saying for a couple months now. They aren't really trying to win. They had to go with her because half their base would eat them alive if they didn't. So they throw her out there so that she can lose and be off the table in 2028 when they can put someone up that they can start growing for the next four years. Same for the VP slot. They wanted someone that they could toss in there that had no future potential to waste. This leaves guys like Shapiro (PA), Newsome (who is also terrible) and others that would have a good chance in four years unscathed.
