tariffs are paid by exporters, importers, secondary producers, sometime 3rd stage producers & sometimes the consumer the “tax the rich” crowd seems to only like the idea when it comes from themselves - but corporations are paying the majority of a tariff while also increasing domestic production - which creates more jobs & higher wages
