Very difficult news to digest. A childhood hero who I had the pleasure of getting to know later in life through work and amateur football. RIP Big Shaun, you were one of a kind.

@C_ENicolson @PoliceScotland Spot on. Stranraer v Raith went ahead despite amber weather warning in area few years back. Game abandoned after 15 minutes and then had dangerous journey home through flooded roads. Met Office say do not travel. Sheer arrogance/ignorance/incompetence for SPFL to ignore 🙄

Raith Rovers are closing in on the appointment of Neill Collins (41) as their new manager. The Scot, who hails from Troon, spent most of his playing career in England including spells at Leeds, Sheffield United and Wolves. Has managed in the US and most recently at Barnsley.

David Healy has done a U-turn and turned down the Raith job. He applied, was placed on shortlist, contact was made last week and personal terms agreed. Raith thought they had their man but Linfield put up a fight, offered Healy a new contract, and he has now decided to stay.

Conceding a penalty for that is so cruel on Denmark. Innocuous handball like that should be an indirect free-kick in the box. Deliberate handball or handball that prevents a goal = penalty. #EURO2024

Steve Clarke’s system stopped working a long time ago and Scotland have become too easy to score against. Change to 4 at the back, switch Tierney to RB (he did well there under Strachan), get our 5 best midfielders on the pitch and go and get the four points we require. #EURo2024
