has anyone else had issues with @discord "solving" your tickets before it has been resolved? i'm trying to figure out why my bank got charged and it's really frustrating. :/

We know that's not a satisfying explanation if this was your account, and we should have caught this sooner. We're working on better safeguards so this can't quietly happen again, and more broadly, on making sure our safety systems don't penalize people who did nothing wrong. If you are 1 of these 8200 people affected by this issue, there is a good probability that they will restore your account access. If your account was permanently banned for a different issue and you live in the US, unfortunately the probability of you getting your account back is very low because discord doesn't want to solve their problems since they gain nothing on doing so, like I mentioned before they only view their users as a number, they win some and lose some, that's it. If you live in the EU however, there is a good probability that they will due to the DSA rules they must follow to keep the service active in the EU region, it will just take a very long time due to their corporate bs, they don't want to give a special treatment towards any user if they don't have to unless they are legally trapped into a corner.

I also did not have any previous violations, no shadow bans no nothing, I understand how you feel and you are entirely right to feel that way. The only reason why I want my account back is exactly because of my friends too. Their platform is the literal definition of hypocrisy, Jason Citron said he was a gamer, that he wanted to create a platform for gamers and that he stood by fairness in gaming, yet his own platform is filt with hackers having their own discord groups selling illegal cheat softwares for games and spoofers.

@Aimi5682 @discord_support My account was created in 2016, with no prior violations, not even a server ban as far as I'm aware. I've been using nitro for almost 4 years. I've lost a ton of friends, official servers where i had a good reputation, it sucks.

So have I, my account was created in 2020 and I have bought nitro for 2 years, unfortunately the reality of the situation is they couldn't care less if you have nitro or not, if the situation doesn't involve a good amount of people (like 8200) that can potentially sue them, they will not care at all.

Now you guys are creating a huge double standard which only makes you look more corporate and cold, many people including myself were wrongfully banned for other reasons, some are still waiting for a response while others just gave up completely, I have been waiting for you guys to fix the issue since April this year and you guys have not responded at all to this day while my ticket remains open, if I didn't live in the EU and had the regulatory authorities on my side to make your stupid platform comply with the DSA rules, you guys would just be laughing at the face of every user that was wrongfully banned, why pretend you guys actually care about your users? You don't, you only care about money, this was a monumental mistake of your bad AI system designed by Jason Citron which in my opinion is the worse CEO of all time. If this affected a single user or even 10 users at once, you guys wouldn't even care, my advice to every discord user right now is if you wanna use their bad platform, go ahead and do so, just don't spend a single cent on it because they couldn't care less about you and your account, they only see you as a number.

@discord_support I got banned for "non consensual adult content". You'd think such a serious accusation would warrant at least 5 seconds of human review.

We had a bug that caused the latter. When our staff reviewed and cleared those accounts, the same bug prevented the ban from being lifted automatically, so it just stayed in place. Around 8,200 accounts were affected from May 2026 through last week, plus the 200 more this past weekend. We've unbanned everyone affected by this bug.

Our systems flag content by matching it against known harmful material. This kind of similarity matching can produce false positives, which is why a member of our Trust & Safety team always reviews flagged content before any action is taken. The intended behavior is to temporarily pause uploads during that review, not ban the account.

If a staff member of one of the largest Discord servers can't get an appeal (for an obvious false-flag), then I can only assume everyone else is getting shafted. (btw discord degenerates will mass report people they don't like due to drama and this problem will just get worse)

.@discord's moderation system is horribly broken. The largest Roblox Discord server (1.67m members) had one of their managers permanently banned for impersonation (I assume "Discord" and "Support" tripped up Discord's AI moderation). And a week after appealing, denied.

Hello @discord_support . Is there any way to get in touch with an actual human? I got hit in a wave of mass reports despite not doing anything wrong. It sucks to lose my 10 year old account and years worth of nitro payments for something i didn't even do.
