@NBCSCycling @PhilLiggett @PhilLiggett Phil I’ve enjoyed your TdF coverage for many years, and had the pleasure of meeting you while I covered the Tour DuPont for the Wilmington News Journal in the 1990s. Always a gentleman!

Remembering June 29th 1979, Lowell George dies of a heart attack at age 34. Born in Hollywood. His band, Little Feat, broke up just months earlier. Formerly of The Mothers of Invention and The Standells. First band was The Factory 1965. On TV sitcom F Troop as "The Bedbugs"...They were also featured in an episode of Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., "Lost, the Colonel's Daughter" (season 3, episode 27). They appeared in the scene inside the A-Go-Go club, with their music playing loudly. George also produced the Grateful Dead's 1978 album Shakedown Street.

Getting excited for this weekend’s show at the Stone Pony where we will be playing my debut album in its entirety! The other day I posted about how important Max Weinberg was to the making of the album so I thought it would be cool to spotlight some of the other amazing musicians who were kind enough to lend their talents…
First up is the incredible Nils Lofgren who played lead guitar on four of the songs…Just Some Guy, Pretty Little Rebel, Waste Me and Romance. Everyone knows what a great musician Nils is but he’s also one of the sweetest and most kind human beings you’ve ever met.
I’ve been a fan of Nils from way back before he was ever in the E Street Band, from Grin to his solo work to his work with Neil Young. He’s just the best. To say I was honored that he took the time to come in and play killer solos on my record is an under statement. I was blown away and he even tried to teach me how to sing harmonies which I still can’t do.
Big luv and thanks to Nils!
If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet for the show this Sunday 5/26 at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park ya better grab em fast! Click the link below and until then check out the magic Nils brought to my song Romance!

@nunyabizz6773 Pure electricity! Saw Joe do this tune and work from “Smoker You Drink …” a few years later when he shared a bill with Peter Frampton in Asbury Park. The two played an encore of “Get Back.” What a night!
