Today I gave notice to the Senate that I will be moving an urgency motion calling on the Government to scrap its disastrous net-zero emissions target. I recently spoke to a small business owner who told me they're paying $10,000 a month just for electricity, on top of rent. It's no wonder 30,000 small businesses have shut their doors in just three years. While China and India are exempt from cutting emissions until 2060 or 2070, and the USA refuses to play ball, we're punishing our own country for contributing just 1% of global emissions. Between them, those three nations emit over 50% but it’s Australians who are made to suffer. Net zero is a scam. It’s destroying our industries, gutting our manufacturing, crippling farming and food production, driving up the cost of living and pushing families into poverty, homelessness and despair. We are being led by fools. Shame on every politician who continues to push this madness. I will not stand by while Australia is driven into the ground.

I know how serious this is — I spent years in the Queensland Police, working in the drug and sex offenders squad. I’ve seen firsthand the damage crime does to families and communities. Labor’s weakness has allowed crime to fester. It’s time for serious action. A Dutton Coalition Government will launch Operation Safer Communities — a $750 million plan to crack down on crime and protect Australian families. We’ll stand up a National Drug Enforcement and Organised Crime Strike Team — with AFP officers in every state and territory — targeting gangs, seizing assets, and reinvesting in the communities they’ve harmed. We’ll introduce ‘post and boast’ laws to stop criminals glorifying violence online, tighten drug and proceeds of crime laws, and boost border screening. We’ll double funding for the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation, expand e-safety education, and trial a disclosure scheme to help parents protect their kids. Community safety demands serious leadership — and only the Coalition has the strength and the plan to deliver it. Let’s get Australia back on track.

I can't afford to stay where I am, there's nowhere to move, and the places you go and see in the city are all being rented to 4 or 5 foreign students. Speaking English is almost an immediate fail with most real estate agents. Sometimes the signs aren't even in English. How are single working Australians supposed to compete on rent against GROUPS of people? We have been terribly betrayed by politicians.
