I read the statement of the person who experienced Holi harassment and again, I am blown away by the mental gymnastics women have to pull to justify/explain their discomfort at any form of harassment they faced. Holi harassment isn’t new and sadly so is the silence around it.

Shillong taxi fares are an enigma. The fares differ and frankly, the cabbies' justifications don't make sense. And amidst the haggling, the question remains: do the taxi drivers themselves know? Are they simply trolling me? Or am I simply stupid?🥲

There's a section on "land banks" in this docu which suggests a system by which tribal land could now be leased/"handed over" to "3rd parties" in tourist areas & routes for tourism business activities. Is the govt serious about this? Could be disaster @meghtourism @SangmaConrad
