Anything bought from them has a massive carbon impact due traveling distance. Meat is always a domestic product. What it wastes in production, international produce wastes in transit.

@delapilap the second doesn’t happen in 99.9% of cases though so it’s not really an argument worth having. Basically nobody who is eating meat is eating non-factory farmed meat

@mattmc_c Eating meat is morally defensible. Any form of factory farming (aka meat at any scale actually needed to feed society) is morally reprehensible.
There would be nothing wrong with giving animals good lives and eating their meat once they die, it just doesn't really happen much.
