Needless to say the character of the facades (as yet undetermined) will greatly affect how good this development is. But even with maximally bad facades, it would be hard for it not to be a huge improvement.

A reminder of the Puddle Dock proposal, redeveloping one of last really dismal corners of the City by Blackfriars Station. Currently the area is extremely ugly, inaccessible, and a wayfinding nightmare - with good delivery, it could be pleasant and walkable central neighbourhood.

The last of one of the greatest bands of all time has passed on. If you're unfamiliar, do yourself a huge favor and go watch The Last Waltz. I still remember when Levon Helm died in 2012. I was at Coachella watching the Black Keys, when they announced it and brought out John Fogerty to play The Weight in his honor.
