Horrible way to lose a final but I suspect Arteta will think that 25% possession and one shot on goal wasn't really the way to approach that final.

@TheRealJonbass I do try to be positive about Tel. But there just isn’t a player in there. Zero awareness of what’s around him. Never sees Udogie on the overlap. And his signature move it stopping and passing backwards. Better than Oderbert. But so am I.

Son’s first Spurs season at 23yrs old;4 PL goals, 1 assist.
Mathys Tel at 20: 4 PL goals & 2 assists, also better xG, shots, chance generation, in a worse Spurs side.
Not saying he’ll become Son but give the kid 3 more years & let’s see. 🤷🏻♂️

I want to big up Tel. I know he’s not the finished article & we should be looking for a first choice LW starter for next season but if you can’t see there’s a player there then I don’t know what to say… With a quality coach like De Zerbi & a function team he could be special.
