Show love if y’all want MORE Futures❤️ Labbed w/ @austinsprops 🩺 Both teams have a top 7th or easier in terms of strength of schedule rankings, and have staffs, + QBs that are young and ascending. The Falcons get to cash in on the development of Michael Penix and run a real offense instead of Kirk Cousins on one leg, who was a big reason they were the worst team in the NFL in the turnover battle, which should regress a bit here. Throw in a more refined Drake London and Bijan Robinson to get some excitement in the offense around him. Atlanta won 8 games last year with one of the bottom 10 defenses in the NFL, with a lot of turnover there this year, any improvement could boost them to 10+ wins here. The Panthers on the other hand get a Bryce Young that looked like the first overall pick that they drafted once he came back into the starter role in the 2H of the season. Combine that with their WR they drafted (McMillan) already being in great sync with Young through early reports and a run game that has added a lot of versatility behind Chubba Hubbard, bringing in both Trevor Etienne and Rico Dowdle. For a coach that prioritizes the run game heavily, this gives a good boost on the offense as a whole. This is really fading the Buccaneers NOT to win the division. They just lost their Offensive Coordinator and I expect some regression there big time from an efficiency standpoint considering this was an outlier season for Baker based on what we have seen from him in years past. They will still be losing Wirfs and Godwin for the start of the season as well. Between these 3 teams, Bucs have the most difficult schedule. 14 of the games are going to be the same (6 vs Division, 4 vs AFC East, 4 vs NFC West), and the last 3 for the Bucs are the Texans, Eagles and Lions.
