People diss M&S as a middle class snob shop. M&S have a range of everyday basic products that are cheap and high quality. Their small wholemeal bread is 65p. It's outstanding. Butter is good value and so are their baked beans. About 1/3 of the price of Heinz.

@WickyRilson Yes that's fair. And if you want to believe that as party leader she did not notice half a million pounds disappearing from the party, and as spouse she did not notice half a million pounds coming in to the household, that's your choice.

Now Peter Murrell pled guilty, I can tell you without contempt of court Alex Salmond told me this: when Murrell ran Alex' office in NE Scotland 20+ years ago, Murrell stole a sum from party funds. Alex replaced it with his own money and protected Murrell who had problems. I told Alex his kindness was admirable and covering for Murrell I understood, but continuing to employ him was nuts. I do not doubt Alex was telling me the truth but obviously I can offer no proof. If memory serves it was £500 - a substantial sum at the time.

Claiming £18,408.91 in expenses allegedly not entitled to, including alleged false invoices. 7. Spending £159,757.39 of SNP funds at 82 retailers on items allegedly for personal use or the use of others (2014–2022). 8.
