The best part of following #ccgeeks on X vs other platforms like Insta is the Real knowledge and info people via network have. Just one example - Axis's Accor devaluation was known & nearly everyone following us here was already moving points out to Accor since months for the upcoming devaluation. Suddenly deval came but collateral damage wasn't much😅😀 Imagine following the Insta guys buying Accor pts at Rs 3🤦‍♂️

@jassneetsingha Isn’t PPF a better option to invest for the debt component having 15 years as a lock in? Also, if you have opened the account before 3 years of the child, it will mature before the child becomes major? The control remains with the parents for the maturity amount.

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana… always a dilemma for me. 21 years is a long lock. Are we planning for our daughters’ dreams or just playing it safe? Parents - Are you investing in SSY for security or mutual funds for growth? 🤔

Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund continues to justify its ⭐️ status. Even in the current market correction, my XIRR stands at 11.68%. That’s the strength of a well-managed, long-term portfolio. When the cycle turns, getting back to 15–16% doesn’t feel like a stretch — it feels expected.

@bvsk93 @FinPaal Not very sure if that’s the exact reason. After closing my citi rewards and citi Indian oil they issued me axis Horizon and I still see many pre approved cards in the offer section

SBI blocks you if you already hold 9+ cards. Equitas, Jupiter, S capia reject for high utilization, even on a single card. HSBC declines if you’ve crossed 4 enquiries in 6 months. HDFC won’t give a core card if you started with co-branded (Ex: Swiggy/Tata Neu). BOB won’t issue a second core card. Kotak has similar caps like SBI. Amex & HSBC barely serve Tier 2/3. Jupiter = no comeback once rejected/closed. What’s the most frustrating bank policy according to you?

As a Bihari, I feel obliged to answer this. Yes. As a Bihari, and as a Hindu, one must have immense respect for all Maratha kings, especially Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The Marathas stood as one of the strongest resistances of their time. Their courage and statecraft reshaped the course of the subcontinent. Their legacy reached far beyond Maharashtra, and its impact was felt in regions like Bihar too. Without them Bharat would have been 75% Islamic. The real fault, perhaps, lies with us Biharis. We have not celebrated our own kings, warriors, and scholars with the same pride and consistency that Marathis, Odiyas, or South Indians have shown for theirs. So light a diya in the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Remember him with reverence.
The Bihar Index@IndexBihar

No offense, just a genuine question for understanding: As a Bihari, why should I respect Chhatrapati Shivaji? Do Marathis also respect Bihar’s great kings or install their statues?

@sauggy @suritalreja Man after paying 6k + gst for Mayura, you are still expected to spend 20k to get lounge access is pretty bad to start with. No transfer partner is a big no beyond first year imho.

Getting an HDFC Infinia now feels impossible for 99% of people. Axis is no longer issuing Atlas anymore, and Amex Platinum Travel has already been devalued. For high-spending customers, which credit cards make sense today?

Don't give up on the Biz Black so soon. It is still being offered as floater via offline route. A #CCgeek friend from X got the approval yesterday. It has nothing to do with having an Infinia. I have it as a floater on Regalia Gold. You just have to meet the eligibility criteria. See my Article in the first comment for the eligibility. For those who are in NCR, just drop a DM, and I will share the number of a guy who can get you this card. For people in other cities, here is what you can try & might work: 👉 Look for the dedicated Credit Card team in your city. These are not attached with any branch, and sit in a separate office. They are different from your RM. 👉 In Delhi, this team sits alongside the loan team. That is how I got in touch with them. So if you know any HDFC loan guy, or can come in contact with one through a DSA or someone who has recently taken a loan, try to find out if they know someone from the Credit Card team. 👉 The credit card team should be able to get you the Biz Black as a floater. 👉 End of the day, a lot depends on the individual & the team who are handling your application. But yes, there is no doubt about it, it is a killer card for people who are self employed!
Ankur Mittal@ankurmittal

HDFC has stopped issuing Floater BizBlack cards, so now even Infinia card holders can't get it.. No doubt it's one of the most rewarding credit card. Much better than Infinia for self employed

Fair enough bhai. My thought was fairly simple - people who don’t have HNI cards can still build a well-rounded card portfolio. For example: 1. A milestone-based card – Amex Plat Travel / Regalia Gold / IndusInd Avios /Axis horizon 2. A few cashback cards – HDFC Swiggy / SBI Cashback / PhonePe / Tata Neu Infinity 3. A few LTF cards – Scapia (Airport privileges) / IndusInd Tiger (BookMyShow, Golf pass) / ICICI Sapphiro (BookMyShow) This way, one gets the best of both worlds: reward points for delayed gratification and instant cashback for everyday wins.

@pdoshi3 @nebula_world @DoBaniye Though Indigo claims ₹1 for 1 point. But here's a quick comparison for a flight on Feb 1. Moreover, you pay only base fare with points, the balance amount has to be paid in cash.

✈️ Meet the IndiGo IDFC FIRST Dual Credit Card 💳 ⏩It’s not just one card—it’s two (Mastercard + RuPay) linked to a single account. Here is the breakdown of the Maths, Sweet Spots for Indians, and the Redemption reality. 👇 🧮 The Maths: Is it worth the ₹4,999 Fee? The Cost: ₹4,999 + Taxes (Unsecured). The Immediate Return: * Welcome Bonus: 5,000 BluChips. * Activation Bonus: 3,000 BluChips (Spend ₹1L in 90 days). * Total: 8,000 BluChips in the first 3 months. > Effectively, the first year is better than free if you travel. The Milestone Ladder (Annual Spends): * ₹2L Spend = 5,000 Bonus BluChips * ₹5L Spend = +5,000 Bonus BluChips * ₹8L Spend = +5,000 Bonus BluChips * ₹10L Spend = +5,000 Bonus BluChips * ₹12L Spend = +5,000 Bonus BluChips 💰 Grand Total: 25,000 Bonus BluChips just for hitting milestones (plus your regular spend rewards!) 🇮🇳 Sweet Spots for Indians * UPI on Credit (RuPay Variant): Since you get a RuPay card, you can link it to UPI apps. You earn 0.5% rewards on those tea/coffee scans where you normally get nothing. * International Travel (Forex Saver): Most cards charge 3.5% markup. This card charges 1.49%. On a $1,000 trip spend, you save ~$20 instantly. * Unexpected Perk: Golf Access! ⛳ 4 complimentary rounds & 12 lessons annually (via Mastercard). Rare for a card in this segment. * Trip Protection: Up to ₹25,000 refund on non-refundable flight/hotel cancellations (2x/year). 🔄 Redemption Options * What can you buy? IndiGo Flights. * Flexibility: No blackout dates. * The Currency: BluChips. * Up to 22 BluChips/₹100 on IndiGo bookings. * 3 BluChips/₹100 on Dining/Entertainment. ⚠️ The Dealbreaker? No Lounge Access. 🚫 This is a pure travel-spend card, not a lounge-lizard card. If you want free food at the airport, look elsewhere. If you want free flights, look here. 📝 Verdict If you are an IndiGo loyalist or an international traveler who wants low forex fees + UPI convenience, this dual-card setup is a power move. Otherwise it's a NO 👎 Ready to fly for free? 👉 Apply Now & Check Eligibility⤵️ bitlii.cc/en/TSmW8s

Speaking to a few Indian tourists currently in Sri Lanka, all of them quite well travelled but it was their first time in Sri Lanka. They absolutely loved it; the food, the people, the culture. They loved it all. But their complaint; “we ran out of things to do in a few days.”
