I lost about 200$ and kept blaming the system. However, I didn’t because if you stay vigilant about your surroundings, you’ll never face these situations again. Here are some tips to keep yourself safe from scams in crypto. 1. Do not open or connect your wallet that looks like a Discord ticket message, as no one will DM you and if they do, they are scammers. 2. Never share your seed phrase or private key not even with “support.” 3. If you want to invest in the security you can buy a hardware wallet for meaningful amounts and keep only small funds in hot wallets. 4. Use a separate burner wallet for new or risky platforms. 5. Never connect your main wallet to unknown dApps, mints, airdrops, or “claim” links.
