Cambodia urgently calls on the Thai side to strictly, honestly, and in good faith uphold the Joint Declaration on the Peace Agreement between Cambodia and Thailand, particularly paragraph 5, which clearly states that “The Thai side must promptly release the 18 Cambodian soldiers” Cambodia also urges Thailand to respect and fulfill all obligations under international law, especially international humanitarian law, by releasing the Cambodian soldiers as soon as possible so that they may be safely reunited with their families. It must also be underscored that the Royal Government of Cambodia has been and will continue to make relentless efforts, utilizing all available mechanisms for the Thai military to release and repatriate our 18 soldiers as promptly and safely as possible. @jacobincambodia The Thai military fired poison gas at Cambodian civilians and soldiers in Banteay Meanchey province. In their pursuit of victory, the Thai military dared to do anything without respecting international law.

The Steung Meteuk bridge in Thmor Da, Pursat was bombed earlier this morning and later struck again by a Thai F-16. The second strike completely destroyed the bridge.

The Thai military used two F-16 fighter jets to drop seven bombs on the Victory Bridge (Mei Teuk Bridge) and destroy a hotel building in Thma Da at around 6 a.m. on December 13, 2025.

Thailand 🇹🇭 is #weaponizing infrastructure, cutting off access for thousands of Cambodian families 🇰🇭. This civil network connects people, yet Thailand frames it as a threat and uses it as a playground for its aggression.

The current situation is a tragic one that continues to intensify and expand on the primary basis that Thailand is seeking to bully Cambodia into accepting Thailand’s illegitimate claims over Cambodian territory — claims that are contrary to international views on the matter including relevant International Court of Justice rulings.
