The biggest risk isn't failing. It's spending a year building something nobody asked for.

[Record & Replay] for windows [Preview] When OpenAI launched Codex's Record & Replay, it was Mac-only - so as a weekend project, I built a Windows version. The idea: instead of writing a detailed prompt to instruct an AI, you just perform the task once. This application watches and takes it from there. And it goes further than Codex: - Records each step with a description and screenshots - Removes the noisy and redundant actions - Understands your intent from the recording - Learns from your operations to replicate the task The best part: if there's a faster to get it done, Sai figures that out too - instead of blindly replaying your clicks. If you wanted to build this from scratch, you'd need four components: - Open-source browser use — e.g. Playwright - Open-source computer use — e.g. SimuLang - A foundation model API that takes both text and images - An open-source macro recorder — e.g. PyMacroRecord I built it using Sai @sai_borg and ran it inside Sai - which already had everything except #4. The video below shows Sai figuring out, on its own, to continue collect all the information from OpenAI's Codex use cases after my demo - without me writing a single specific prompt. Note: the video captions were also created by Sai.

@GregGavinRFP Came across your launch here. I have some growth ideas if you're open to it? x.com/GregGavinRFP/s…
Greg Gavin@GregGavinRFP

We’re currently hard at work improving the response quality of our agentic swarm on the private edition Mac app for VeriRFP, using on-device AI while also pushing response speed. On the side I’ve been building something that came straight out of frustration at home. My wife and daughter constantly complain about how exhausting social media has become. The endless rage bait, doomscrolling, and algorithms that seem designed to keep everyone angry and scrolling. It got me thinking there has to be a better way for adults to actually connect with people nearby. That’s why I started MetroMeet. An 18+ social app built for real, low-pressure connections in your own area. The tagline says it best: “Meet people, not arguments.” It’s a modern take on the fun, local, playful social apps a lot of us remember from earlier days of the internet. Your area’s wall where people post plans, questions, and everyday thoughts. Real verified profiles with personality. Simple games and icebreakers so conversations actually start. Optional private filters for compatibility — including partisanship if you want — so you can choose who sees you and who you interact with. You earn MetroBucks just by showing up and being decent, and you can spend them on virtual gifts or other playful stuff. We launch city by city once enough locals join the waitlist. That way every area starts with real density and energy instead of a ghost town. No video feeds. No influencers. No algorithms pushing outrage. Just relationship-first connection over endless scrolling. I just shipped the waitlist site yesterday at getmetromeet.com. If this resonates, claim your founding spot. Early members get priority access when their area launches, a founding badge, starting MetroBucks, and referral boosts. We’re moving fast on the iOS side too and would love your thoughts. What do you miss most about the earlier, lighter days of social apps, or what would actually make one enjoyable again for adults?

A founder's job isn't just building. It's making something people want. And then making sure they know it. TikTok is your direct line to demand validation. That is how apps crack TikTok.

Fable goes away tommorow so ive be using it all i can until then. Heres all the things i built with Fable: A Analog X Radio that goes through my personal twitter feed every morning, summerizes all the topics, converts it to audio, sends it to a custom app on my phone and plays it, for each topic summery it also has a deep dive option, this works i use it every morning. controllable through an ESP32 with dials, havent tested yet. basically one prompted(including app) A new MacOS finder for my Mac, that doesnt squich all my old files into alphabetical order after 30 days. Works. A no account canva alternative cause canva doesnt let you use fake emails. opencanvas-ashy.vercel.app Converted my vercel self hosted e2ee no account messaging website to PHP so it can be truly self hosted(not tested but calude sent me screenshots of it working, i have not idea how it does that.) A weather lightning detector with a website and telegram notifications so i can watch lightning storms from the water. setup and put tons of programs on my VPS so its ready to deploy to the internet(didnt deploy it yet cause im scared) 3 x com chrome extensions that 1 block out all pictures from my timline, 2 delete all UI elements from my timeline only text,3 only text make my timeline look like the terminal green like from the matrix. A drag and drop HTML website builder for my wife running on github pages. An analog GPS for my car using an ESP32 and servos and an E Ink screen and a phone app. A self hosted google docs, google drive, google photos that actually compresses photos and videos, no other privacy image hoster does this, and github. Enabled notifications though web on my e2ee no account messaging PWA, i asked opus to do it and it said it did but it didnt do anything. Made a science experiments home schooling website backend that ive been wanting to make for years and tried before AI and it was literally impossible. A drag and drop HTML website builder for my wife running on github pages. If you read it to the end then reply with Open Source Sonnet.

I am ripping out the free plan from my app I started with a hard paywall + free trial on the yearly plan, and that was going pretty well at first I got up to around $200 MRR, but then decided to switch to freemium, and since then MRR has dropped below $100 The drop is partly because I lost motivation and stopped doing as much marketing Nonetheless, my motivation is back, marketing gears are in motion and I am reverting to a hard paywall The next time free users open the app, they will be paywalled To try to soften the blow, I created this "founder letter" paywall that I will display to free users once I make the switch I used @Superwall AI chat to build it and it came out really nice (this is not a sponsored post, just a shoutout to the team) The letter explains how I am a solo, bootstrapped founder and a sober dad, building the app in my free time with no team or funding I also included a note directing anyone who really can't pay but gets value out of the app to email me, and I will give them a subscription at no charge Let's see how it goes 🤔

OnVault Labs
OnVault Labs@onvaultlabs·
I've been building a Blazor component library on nights and weekends for a year and a half. Solo. The kind that gives .NET developers pre-built inputs, buttons, tooltips, dropdowns, form validation and way more as an open source initiative. The foundation and the core framework are mine. AI is helping with the last stretch: finding bugs, accelerating the UI, extending capabilities… so I can ship a complete first release. This week the tooltips/popovers/dropdowns foundation and the form-input validation wiring landed in their final shape. Plus performance tests that fail the build if components start allocating memory they shouldn't. Every future OnVaultLabs product will sit on this very soon.

🚨Architects are going to hate this. Someone just open-sourced a full 3D building editor that runs entirely in your browser. No AutoCAD. No Revit. No $5,000/year licenses. It's called Pascal Editor. Built with React Three Fiber and WebGPU -- meaning it renders directly on your GPU at near-native speed. Here's what's inside this thing: → A full building/level/wall/zone hierarchy you can edit in real time → An ECS-style architecture where every object updates through GPU-powered systems → Zustand state management with full undo/redo built in → Next.js frontend so it deploys as a web app, not a desktop install → Dirty node tracking -- only re-renders what changed, not the whole scene Here's the wildest part: You can stack, explode, or solo individual building levels. Select a zone, drag a wall, reshape a slab -- all in 3D, all in the browser. Architecture firms pay $50K+ per seat for BIM software that does this workflow. This is free. 100% Open Source.
