@Prof_Nick_James Incorrect statement. EAU guideline includes med Onco / rad Onco. ‘Gold’not used. Do agee TMT has a role and Should be discussed with patiënt.

The urology guidelines, written by urologists, all say, with no evidence to support it, that cystectomy is the “gold standard”. Confirmation bias - if you are taught something is true, you ignore contrary evidence.

@QaaliHussein1 If a male surgeon would brag about being a surgeon (why is this so particularly cool?) while raising 6 kids I would have asked the exact same question. But appearently you prefer making this a gender thing so this discussion is going nowhere...

@maxbruins It certainly is a gender issue. My male colleagues with 5 kids never get asked who’s providing care. It’s automatically assumed the wife got it. Women surgeons, even with 1/2 kids, who’s raising them? Why do y’all ask biased questions? Hint:👇🏿 twitter.com/qaalihussein1/…

To all aspiring surgeons: In the OR today, we had three attendings (2W, 1M) {We had an interesting case and we love to hang out in OR even if not operating} Between the three of us, we have 16 kids. They each have five and I have six. We’re not unicorns. It’s doable.

@QaaliHussein1 You make it a gender issue, Male/female is not the point. Its the job and 6 kids, only works if other (male/female) or family/friends etc step in...

@maxbruins Do you think both men and women are given the same advice about having family as surgeons? Do you honestly think men are told it’s doable as long as someone else raises the kids? Do you honestly think anyone asks men if they do both?
