resurgo v0.4.0 is out. github.com/maxgio92/resur… Accuracy numbers are starting to feel solid: up to 100% of function entries detected, with less than 1% false positives. Tested on Debian Trixie's grep 3.11-4, compiled with GCC 14.2, CF protection and fully stripped.

Was adding stripped binary support to #xcover with no debug info. So I started playing with the Go disassembler and pulled the implementation out into #ResurGo: a Go library for prologue detection + call site analysis, supporting x86_64 and ARM64. github.com/maxgio92/resur…

@antirez I’ve switched from Ghostty to Alacritty. Just use Codex/CC to set up the key bindings you like afterwards.

Second time my MacOS crashes because of a combination of Ghostty memory leaks + MacOs kernel terrible handling of OOM conditions.

Was looking for a cheap but powerful and portable laptop. 10 seconds later I open YouTube only to find @antirez whom with the greatest enthusiasm I’ve ever seen for a laptop shows me his latitude 7420. 1 second later another video where he tells how he uses it on is treadmill. One bell rings… I’m also on a quest to be as healthy as it gets… But wait… I need an us keyboard… I’ll never find one with it :( Amazon has a refurbed one with the us keyboard !! All is perfect !! I guess I’ll have the laptop on Thursday I’m happy

@ibuildthecloud Fractional scaling was the big one for me. Having a 4K and 1080p monitor next to each other sucks really bad without it.

Is there honestly a single thing you can do in wayland that can't be done in X? I'm not bashing, serious question. What is the killer feature of wayland. Why wouldn't you just stick with X? And not about potential future things, I mean right now.

Turns out you can communicate across containers via 63-bits of available space in a shared lock you acquire on /proc/self/ns/time that all processes have access to. No networking required. The post has a demo of a chat app communicating across unprivileged containers.

Writing good POSIX shell code is hard.

Looking for a way to profile #coverage for functional tests transparently I built github.com/maxgio92/xcover It generates a function clverage. Using #ebpf uprobes it supports ELF binaries and it's cross-language compatible.
