@SharpFootball This is how midwestern men show love to each other 😂

@xanbarksdale I miss when sports coverage was about the players and the on field content of the game, and not sensationalized debate about the rules.
They’re getting the rules right- great. Let’s focus now on the game and the players.

@TheConnorPils C Trent is representing an angry and depressed fan base. Nothing worth your time or grace.
English

It’s so pathetically hilarious that opposing fans’ best cope is “OmG YoUr fAnS gEt tOo eXciTeD”
I get it — most teams don’t get 30,000+ on a rainy Monday in May. Certainly not the Reds.

In addition to its stench, Wrigley Field must have the worst sight lines in baseball, because the crowd seems to think every ball the home team hits in the air is going to be a home run
English

Your negativity and lack of joy in the game you cover has slowly killed boys and girls like mine’s joy in baseball. I’ve tried for years to understand your negativity, depression, and livelihood. I don’t.
I Never will.
The Reds and their community deserve better. Your negativity killed my joy for baseball.
I won’t let the next representative of our city, community, and culture, do that ever again. Sorry you’re so depressed. Stop shoving it into our faces.

@FBGreatMoments Vonta Leach. Talk about declaring a presence? Lead blocker was an understatement when you watched men follow him into the hole.
6 ft, 260 pounds of muscle, machine, and fierce forward energy. Undrafted- played with that chip.

@Travis_L_Brown In the words of Arnold Palmer “Remember the kids.”
Remember the children and remember your own inner child.
Banana ball is excellent at that, and never tries to be something it isn’t. We could all let a little more banana ball into our lives.
English

Now that I am connected to a better cell signal outside the stadium, seeing a lot of Banana Ball hate in the mentions.
Yes, it is unserious baseball. Yes, I am a pretty old-school baseball guy.
But, man, was that just hours of of fun and non-stop smiles. Seeing it through the eyes of some of the kids in there was really special. They couldn’t get enough.
And the players were legitimately upset after the loss. Means something to them to play well.
Sometimes unserious makes for a fantastic night.

@Thebestfigen A human is still needed to stitch a baseball, yet the con man tech goons are telling you AI is going to solve all world problems. lol
English

This question hasn’t really been answered confidently in a full ten years for many industries. Not because we don’t need people- but in my point of view- 2 major reasons.
A hoarder’s economy (stagnant wages, poor entry level wage, harder promotion paths), and a tech lobby that has convinced public servants (through bribes both legal and otherwise) that people don’t matter, machines do.
Both have to give. Jobs, tasks, and duties are for people, and they also deserve a greater share of the pot.
English

@realteaemoji It’s pretty crazy that this has become a radical take

@lacherbauer Why does everything “need to be” more than what it is. Pittsburgh is a sustainable and strong American city. Steel was a chapter there, but it is now time for a new one.
Keep letting the people write the story of their communities. The less OCD control the better.
English

Pittsburgh, without question, is American Chongqing. Pittsburgh needs to start producing 20% of the world’s steel supply again so that it can return to a path of development and build its own supertall skyscrapers with horizontal skypark.

@Noahpinion What is America’s Chongqing?

@PanasonicDX4500 @johni_sweeney The gaslighting has truly become next level

Am I the only one who remembers a year ago when a bunch of teenagers said we had to cut the funding to like Sesame Street and AIDS prevention because we were on the verge of financial collapse? Did we all just imagine that?

Lindsey Graham says they are going introduce legislation that’s going to authorize 400 million dollars to be spent on building the ballroom: We pay for it by offsetting it with customs fees. The sooner we get the ballroom built, the better it is for the country.

@maxmcdulin @cstegmaier It’s just nice when there’s a ball game on, regardless.
