Ezra is right. Our policies and politicians have made it impossible to build, blocking critical infrastructure and driving up the cost of living. California has given me everything. My parents immigrated here in 1983. They opened a small restaurant, bought a modest home, and sent me to great public schools. That dream is out of reach today because bad policies have made housing unaffordable. We should be growing, welcoming families like mine once was. Instead, our population is shrinking. We aren’t building homes. We can’t even build a train line. The greatest place in the world—rich in talent and resources—is being squandered by politicians who refuse to act. That’s why winning elections and electing pro-growth leaders matters. We’ve made progress in SF, but there’s more to do.
