so…do we think there was actually a ceasefire deal sent to Iran? Trump has been insisting that negotiations are taking place and there is a deal. this headline below, which caused the S&P to make a 1% move and took oil below $90, is the first real *potential* piece of evidence that there are actual negotiations happening. the most interesting thing about this is the US releasing all sanctions on Iran, which would generate them hundreds of billions in revenue…not sure if the US wants to give this regime that much money but if they get a unconditional guarantee of Iran agreeing to give up their nukes…maybe it’s worth it? if Trump comes out and confirms that they are working on a ceasefire…the market might love it. we got a taste after hours to how the market would react but it has started to fade due to no certainty on if this is true. if it is…maybe this is where things get closer to coming to an end.

BREAKING: The United States has sent a 15-point agreement with terms to a one month ceasefire to Iran, as per the New York Times. The exact terms have not been disclosed but broad ideas are around Iran giving up full control of their nuclear weapons and the US lifting sanctions.

@amitisinvesting Trump is a known liar; at this point Americans should not trust anything that comes out of this administration.

TRUMP: - WE ARE NEGOTIATING WITH IRAN, MARCO AND JD ARE INVOLVED - THEY REALLY WANT TO MAKE A DEAL - IRAN HAS ALREADY AGREED TO US THAT THEY WILL NEVER DEVELOP A NUCLEAR WEAPON once again, Trump is explicitly admitting that negotiations are real and a deal could happen

two things can be true 1) we are seeing conflicting headlines daily about the US and Iran negotiating for a potential peace deal 2) these “potential peace talks” aren’t getting leaked for no reason so, Iran is denying all of them for various strategic reasons (more volatility = worse for Trump) but the sheer number of reports around some type of potential peace deal indicates that there absolutely has been dialogue, even if not formally, and the people leaking it to the media want everyone to know that an offramp is possible it feels like Trump wants to end this sooner than later.

BREAKING: The U.S. and a group of regional mediators are discussing the possibility of holding high-level peace talks with Iran as soon as Thursday, per Axios.

Doctors are manually operating ventilators in order to keep babies alive in Cuba. The U.S. is laying siege cruelly cut off all fuel, power is out, leaving hospitals without electricity. Dialysis patients, babies in NICU, and others will die. This’s a crime against humanity.

The streets should be filled with protests against the war on Iran - they’re quiet instead. For years, the antiwar movement in this country has been worn down - piece by piece, argument by argument, until even its language was made suspect. But in these last three years, something more deliberate has taken hold: to be anti-war now is to be marked; it’s to risk deportation, violence, abduction and imprisonment. And we watched it happen: we watched students - who have always been the conscience of any movement - be met not only with the force of the state, but with the violent compliance of the institutions meant to protect them. Those who protested genocide - who named the most grotesque form of inequality for what it is - were made into harbingers of hate and violence. And when they were not being denounced, they were being policed by those who claimed mutual sympathies. And that’s why there’s a fatigue - there was a repression that was so constant, so vast and so successful that all it left were fragments. Antiwar organizations and organizers are still out here, still organizing, still demanding - but the bodies just aren’t there because Americans ultimately are an obedient, distracted nation.

It’s a profound indictment of American society that there is no antiwar movement in this moment. If not now then when?

We gave Amazon a $17.5 BILLION tax break last year. Meta got $13.7 BILLION. Citigroup didn't pay a penny—we gave them a tax REFUND. Those tax breaks didn't do anything to create jobs, let alone save them. We have got to stop with the corporate tax giveaways.

Several of the world's biggest companies have already done huge layoffs this year: UPS - 30,000 workers Amazon - 16,000 workers Intel - 15,000 workers Volkswagen - 50,000 workers Meta - 16,000 workers Oracle - 30,000 workers Citigroup - 20,000 workers And it's only March.
