i help my clients sell 6 figs/month worth of courses. let me show you how to tell if a course is a complete scam before you buy it... these red flags expose fraud IMMEDIATELY RED FLAG 1: FAKE URGENCY TIMERS "only 3 spots left" but the timer resets when you refresh "price increases in 24 hours" but it's been that price for months check web archive. see if the "limited time" has been running forever real scarcity doesn't need countdown timers plus these don't even contribute to more course sales anymore fake urgency and scarcity is just useless at this point RED FLAG 2: TESTIMONIALS FROM FREE RECEIPIENTS "student" testimonials that are actually affiliates people who got the course for free in exchange for a review ask yourself: are these testimonials verifiable? can you actually find these people? scammers fabricate or incentivize testimonials it disgusts tf out of me RED FLAG 3: INCOME CLAIMS WITHOUT PROOFS "i made $100k in 30 days with this method" but no screenshots no evidence no specificity real results have receipts anyone can claim numbers. so ask for proof they'll most likely give you some sorry excuse RED FLAG 4: REVENUE WITHOUT PROFIT "i did $500k last year" but they spent $450k on ads and $100k on fulfillment lol revenue is complete vanity profit is sanity live by that saying ask: what are your MARGINS? they won't tell you RED FLAG 5: NO REFUND POLICY legitimate courses offer refunds if they're confident the product works, refunds are pretty minimal no refund = they know people WILL want their money back it's a massive red flag RED FLAG 6: VAGUE SUCCESS METRICS "students have generated millions with my mentorship" but how many students? what percentage succeeded? what's the median result? scammers use the BEST outliers and hide the average ask for average results, not best results RED FLAG 7: THE GURU NEVER DOES THE ACTUAL BIZ MODEL ANYMORE "i'll teach you how to do X" but they haven't actually done X in 5 years their only business model is selling the course ABOUT the business model real experts still practice what they teach the verification checklist before buying any course: - search "[course name] reddit" and "[course name] scam" - ask for student references you can speak with directly - verify income claims with actual evidence - check the creator's actual business (not just the course business) - look for a clear refund policy - trust your gut if something feels off the uncomfortable truth is that most courses aren't complete scams they're just mediocre products from people who are better at marketing than teaching the real test is would this person succeed WITHOUT selling courses? if the answer is no, the course probably isn't worth your money of your time i just saved you thousands of dollars, if not more - bodie
