RE ad industry consolidation, everyone should re-read the takes from when Publicis and Omnicom agreed to a “merger of equals” in 2013. It didn’t work out bc of eventual executive redundancies. Intense Game of Thrones vibes rn, legacies on the line, etc.

Interesting quotes from Netflix CEO Greg Peters on how the company is positioning its ad offering - basically an amped up version of TV. I think that's a great thing for big advertisers seeking to replace the lost reach of linear. Of course YouTube is doing something similar.
