Not going to get political with this. The fact that nobody at the PGAT office expected this with an F1 race two miles up the road AND on Kentucky Derby weekend just shows that nobody at the PGAT office knows how to schedule fuck all.

There are virtually no fans at the Cadillac Championship at Doral. Is this a Trump boycott? Tickets too high? Who sets the prices? Single day ticket is $88. Tickets too high next weeks Truist at Quail Hollow are $84. Not much different

Jordan Spieth was asked about the ongoing situation with LIV and how the PGA Tour should treat players who want to return. "I'm not sure. I'm not sure if it should be the same for everyone. I know olive branches were given out, you know, a couple months ago. Brooks took 'em up on it. So I'm not sure what would now change. Obviously with, if it -- and I don't even know, that doesn't necessarily mean that LIV's not going to still move on, too. "I think there's just too many unknowns for me to have a good gauge on what would happen there. But I think, if there's a system for Brooks and a system for Patrick Reed, does that stay the same for guys in the same category as those two coming back or does it change now. Does it change for guys who sued and dropped their membership. "There's just a lot of different things that happened over the last four years for that. Decided to build a set of the new McLaren irons. Completely stock set of 7 clubs will run you a cool $2600. No upgrades or puring. How does this make any sense? Well, it doesn’t golf wise. But it does make some sense to the brand buyer. Luxury brands exist because people want to be seen. That’s it. A $30,000 purse isn’t more useful than a $30 purse. But it does tell everyone that you can afford a $30,000 purse. The McLaren irons aren’t going to shave even a tenth of a stroke off your game. But that isn’t the point.

A new (and yet so familiar) addition to the iconic closing hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links. A second cypress tree has been planted, restoring the hole to it's original design intent and reinstating the signature look golf fans had come to know until the original was lost in a 2014 storm. 30 yards nearer the green than the other, the tree sits in the exact location of its predecessor and was transported down the road from Spyglass Hill's 17th hole.
