Yesterday was the last day of our health mission in Amman, Jordan. We served just under 2,000 Syrian Refugees across multiple camps and clinics, with over 150 surgeries and hundreds of peds, gyno and internal med cases. Never seen anything like this before - it was an honor!

@NotePlanApp @3210jr Also a user here. Doesn’t seem to crash if the note is empty. I think it’s the 7 day view, like W36, W37 etc. Crashes predictably after adding a few checkboxes and tasks to it

@NotePlanApp Desktop app keeps crashing in the week view. Been happening for 2 weeks now ... is there anything I can try to resolve this? Everything works on mobile, just desktop. Its the perfect app for my use case, the crashing on the weekly view is just a bummer.

It feels like the only reason startups exist is to perform market validation for the large companies. Google just re-created about 100 startup value props during their event. They have the distribution channels no startup has, even if they raise millions. Hey, at least we get better services moving forward! #googleio #startups #ai

In downtown Los Angeles today we heard Bongo flava (Mbosso & Diamond) bumping around the corner and followed the sound until we found some incredible Swahili food and Swahili speaking cooks! I’m talking coconut rice, Sekela, and everything in between! Was a good day today!

With the current trend, I will register a small agency whose entire offering is fixing AI code assistant bugs. From people who use ChatGPT to do their DNS settings, to those using copilot autocomplete to BALLOON their code sizes - both of which I've had to debug this week alone. We got you covered! On a serious note, if you are not comfortable programming and/or problem solving don't rely on AI too much as it stands. And if you do, email me for my consultation services in a few months when you have logic bugs you cannot fix 🤓 (only half joking)

Hey all! I'm hiring! I'm looking to hire a full-time software developer for a few months contract. The role is very ill defined and will work on different things that are completely unrelated. I am looking to multiply my output for a few months and would like help from a *good* programmer. Requirements: - Experience with *at least 2* programming languages: JavaScript/Typescript and 1 other one (Java doesn't count, python counts as half) - Experience with frontend and backend - Optimism - Have a flexible schedule, and willing to work across timezones Preferred: - No design experience required, but nice to have - No college degree required - in fact I prefer if you don't have one - Nice to know a language that is not a "me too" language (elm, haskell, rescript, ocaml, rust*, nim, nelua, grain, etc) - Obsessive personalities are welcome To be clear: This is a role helping me build, implement, and scale ongoing projects. Expect to write A LOT OF CODE, no long meetings, just checkins for demos and walkthroughs. DM me if interested + your rate.

@3210jr New productivity tool idea: DillyDally. Uses AI to schedule your tasks at the last possible minute required to produce the lowest fidelity output. Even helps you schedule multiple hours to “think about doing the task”. Probably should come with a hair dye subscription as well 😅

LEADERSHIP: Dr. Olotu is the new Ifakara Director of Science 🔬🧪 Ifakara Health Institute has announced Dr. Ally Olotu its new Director of Science, taking over from @Fredros_Inc , who held the post since 2016. Before this new appointment, Dr. Olotu served in the same position in the acting capacity. The Chief Executive Director @ifakarahealth, @HonoratiM , made the announcement at a staff meeting from Dar es Salaam. He won the post after a highly competitive selection process that involved applicants from outside the organization.
