Even if your husband is the primary provider, you need to fully understand the finances of your home. You should know exactly where the money is, how the bills are paid, and what investments you both have. Playing the "clueless wife" is not cute... it's a risk to your own future. If something happens to him tomorrow, you need to be able to step up and steer the ship without panicking. Be a true partner. You both are building "And Co Limited". Get on board.

@Lonnewulff It doesn't even make sense to choose a novice over Hon. Bello who will be a high ranking member if he goes back to the house.

Babu kaffara, KD Elumelu cannot stand and make such submission. Kai forget about the House, he cant even make such submission on a Twitter space! He doesn’t have the intellectual depth or articulation width. Both of which should be basics for a legislator. I know some ignorant folks will come and make arguments that there are others in such positions that lack intellect and articulation. Well, I want to see Nigeria progress and not retrogress. Replacements should at least match or be better than who they are replacing, not be far off.

As Nigerians with some of the lowest life expectancy in the world, a life that as you near mid-life, you’re riddled with diseases that reduce your quality of life, you should be very worried about everything you consume. Regulations make standards & you are living with the least.

The poor are the only audience for the rich who are inclined to make a spectacle of wealth. That is, the poorer the people, the more the rich habitually flaunt wealth. But this is not a social stratifying ritual. It is not the rich trying to stand out from the poor. It is a manifestation of the fact that those who are rich within a system designed to keep everyone poor are just rich - and shallow in every other domain that refines a man’s character and sense of self. Because, when wealth is the only language a man speaks, he begins to believe it is the only thing worth saying. So he will perform it. Not to inspire, but to affirm himself in the only currency he understands. And the poorer the audience, the louder the performance must be. Because deprivation amplifies spectacle. Hunger makes glitter look like gold. This is not distinction. It is exposure. This is not how the rich behave. This is the behaviour of those who are JUST rich. A man refined in mind, taste, and character does not need to announce his worth. His life carries IT. His choices reveal it. His restraint proves it. Wealth, for such a man, is an Accessory not an identity. But wealth for those who are JUST rich - the Nigerian rich men - is an identity. Their whole identity. It's all they have to show to the public - in weddings, burials, churches.... Beyond the riches there's nothing else to show. However, it's worth noting that this is typical of rich people existing within a poverty infested systems because To conquer such a system, a man often immerses himself fully in the pursuit of money. It becomes an all-consuming adventure. And in doing so, he gradually relinquishes other areas necessary for growth - his intellect, his moral depth, his sense of self. What emerges, then, is a man who has mastered accumulation but neglected formation: rich in means, but impoverished in substance. But hey, I have said enough..

“In 1903, the biggest industry in the world was whaling. It disappeared almost overnight.” Jimmy Carr dropped this on the Joe Rogan podcast and it made me rethink how fast entire economies can vanish. Whaling collapsed in about 18 months once petrochemicals replaced whale oil. The same thing happened with horse manure in New York City — the streets were literally covered in it, brownstones had steps to stay above the filth, and laws couldn’t fix it. Then Henry Ford’s cars arrived, and within a few years the horses (and the problem) were basically gone. Carr’s point: the resources and industries we treat as permanent today can disappear shockingly fast when something better comes along. What “essential” industry or resource of today do you think could vanish in the next 20 years?

As a Nigerian, you have no business having an opinion on this Iran war. Your country is far less developed than all the countries involved. Go and talk about something else. The exponential rise in terrorism in Nigeria for starters. Allow serious countries to do their things.

“You’re spending 50% of your disposable income on a house a postman owned in 1917.” Rory Sutherland just delivered a brutally funny takedown of London property madness. He pointed out that people with good jobs are now paying enormous sums for a three-bedroom house in Fulham that’s essentially a boring, low-quality building — the real value is almost entirely in the land and planning permission (about 90% of the price). Meanwhile, we live in an incredible technological age where you can buy jet skis, hot tubs, and amazing consumer goods — but most of our money goes into owning a “shit house” in a good postcode. Rory’s friend has a flat in the Barbican and he gets that — it’s actually an amazing place to live. But most London housing? Dross. Rory’s friend has a flat in the Barbican and he gets that — it’s actually an amazing place to live. But most London housing? Dross. It’s like paying £60,000 a year for the parking space while driving a 1970s Ford Cortina. What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve seen people spend huge money on just for location?

This is heartbreaking and urgent. A student from University of Jos, JOHN ARUM has been kidnapped while traveling to Kaduna. A disturbing video was recorded with his own phone and sent to his school WhatsApp group chat. Since then, there has been no clear contact with his family, and no one knows if they are aware yet. The kidnappers are demanding ₦30 million.
