The more rich/famous/powerful you are, the harder it is to have a true understanding of yourself or the world around you. Few are incentivized to tell you the truth and many are incentivized to lie to your face. Without this important feedback mechanism it is much harder to understand what is true or false. Your mental model of yourself and your world will get more and more inaccurate every year. Your decision making ability will erode proportionally. When you’re in this situation it’s best to spend some time assuming you’re wrong and searching for evidence of your errors. You have to cultivate your own feedback mechanisms. You have to be relentless in your struggle to learn the ground truth.

If your product is already loved by users but not viral - u need to hack the distribution channels and get a way to let new users love your product even if they haven’t tried it themselves. Go into how it’s shared. Are they sharing screenshots? Put a logo on it. Are they sharing a link to their results in messengers? How fast does the link load within the mobile messenger browser? Make it lighter. What’s their next move after looking at it? Can you follow up or at least make a good first impression? Make it autoplay/interactive within the messenger itself or increase the snippet size if its text or a pic. You don’t have to bring the new user to your product immediately (what PMs would want to do) or score a website click, but you can make them love it first. Metrics only matter in the long run. Love for the product matters immediately.
