Did you know that teachers spend an average of $750 out of pocket to equip their classrooms each year - with 30% spending $1,000 or more? The #ClearTheList hashtag makes it easy to help. Hope you’ll join me in purchasing an item or two from a teacher wishlist in the replies below

I’ve seen a lot of #teachers with @amazon wishlists on Twitter over the last few days. I know the new school year is right around the corner. I can’t help everyone, but I can assist with a few items and hope others are able to do the same. Drop your list here, teachers👇🏼💙

@autumnw0725 @jameytn I was also wondering what a flipped classroom would look like with younger students. I can see how this model would be great for upper grades (middle/high school) as students are much more independent, but I’m not sure how successful this would be in elementary grades.

@jameytn I have had very little experience in flipped classrooms. I do not know how this would work with elementary students. I would like to see this in action with younger students. I used an online learning platform during the pandemic school closures. I felt that was tough enough.

@KelseyBoyer21 @jameytn I referenced virtual teaching as my closest experience to a flipped classroom too! I hesitate to use this model for similar reasons as you. Virtual teaching helped me realize just how many students have a lack of support at home in addition to no internet/technology.

@jameytn Other than participating in virtual learning during the pandemic, I try to avoid a flipped classroom for many reasons: Poor internet connections, little/no support at home, & limited access to tech. How do teachers handle these situations? Could the work be completed IN school?

@jameytn I don’t have much experience with a flipped classroom other than virtual teaching where videos/content was posted and discussed later on Zoom. I want to know more about how to make a flipped classroom more successful with primary students and in areas with a high digital divide.
