Born on this day, she was a committed environmentalist and founded the Green Belt Movement, which led to the planting of millions of trees.

The AAK Annual Convention 2026 will be held in September 2026, in alignment with the Pan African Biennale. We are seeking a creative and impactful logo that captures the essence of the 2026 Convention.
1. The logo should be representative of the theme: “Shifting the Built Environment from Fragility to Resilience”
2. It should account for all our 8 AAK professionals/Chapters
3. Maximum 3 submissions
4. Logos should accompany presentation on product renders
PRIZES
• 1st Place: KSh 25,000 + official recognition + registration to the AAK Annual Convention 2026
• Honorary mention: KSh 10,000 + registration to the AAK Annual Convention 2026
• Honorary Mention: KSh 10,000 + registration to the AAK Annual Convention 2026
The winning logo will be the official identity of the AAK Annual Convention 2026 and will be featured in all event materials and promotions.
