Cheese meant female sheep & cows were usually more valuable than male ones which were accordingly slaughtered young as they were not worth feeding through the winter. The skins of these young animals was used to make vellum, giving us the basic material of the European book. 2/

European civilization is built on ham and cheese, which allowed protein to be stored throughout the icy winters. Without this, urban societies in most of central Europe would simply not have been possible. This is also why we have hardback books. Here's why. 1/

Dear Mogg Now that we are living under actual Communism, you and I are the Noble Prize Winners Alexander Solzhenitsyn and Boris Pasteurise, of today. As in Haydn's Messiah, we say, 'The trumpet shall sound' for we are the blowhards blowing our own trumpets. Oreo oratoryo Boris

I love Chromebooks. They're basically typewriters with an internet browser and I don't see why someone in my line of work would bother shelling out for anything else. But I do wish they could be just a little bit prettier. They're a slab of utility.

This is cool, but what I think is really does is highlight the power of @paperpile (which I admit is a paid service) as it automatically names organises and stores your files of GDrive. This is how you do the same in @paperpile ...er that is it.

Just figured out how to make Google Bard access your Zotero library. You can summarize articles and ask questions about them. Zotero is free and so is Bard. Let me know if you'd like a step-by-step tutorial on it.

From 1.8k papers/month to 0.2 after being delisted from the WoS ! “IJERPH’s decline is a stark reminder that in the absence of an Impact Factor, other journal traits matter little» says the article (shorturl.at/oxDK4) Do you think this is the case in #Archaeology too?
