Good thing this wasn't a snowstorm, because this will end up being a horrible model performance collectively across the board. If it's going to be 49° and raining all day to ruin the start of Memorial Day weekend, at least make it worth it. Rainfall has been very underwhelming.

@wakeupnj The river is at all time lows right now and hardly any rain fell yesterday across that region. The obstructions are wind blown trees in or across the river that the NJDEP prohibits from clearing. The Mullica, Wading & Batsto river are at all time record lows currently.

@Melondacat1 Nobody in Ag wants flooding rains, just consistent precipitation across the next several months. Between the drought and the freezes this spring this is most welcome.

@mcadehaven You don’t want a “drought breaker”. It would ruin fields, stunt the growing season and run off would cause flooding. If we could get another rain like this in 10 days it would be great

Not a drought breaker but the last 4 days of precipitation and cool temperatures has helped blunt the severity of the situation for vegetable & fruit growers across the state of NJ. Very thankful for what we are receiving, hopefully some more rain over the next 48 hours. ☔️
