Early this morning, I was admitted to hospital after slipping and falling on wet and slippery stairs. A CT scan has revealed several broken ribs and vertebrae damage, and subsequent medical advice has recommended I remain in intensive care for the next few days.

@stump_carlin Not against appropriate lockdowns or Retrictions. When Melbourne was at its worst rural areas never had to go to stage 4, this lockdown for rural areas is overkill. This is going to happen again. Do we lockdown the whole state every time?

@stump_carlin Jumping at shadows. They’ve had 12 months to plan for outbreaks and different situations and the best they can come up with is shut the whole state when majority of the state isn’t affected. Weddings, incomes, births, livelihoods have longer consequences than just the 5 days

@mcconzy because there were no cases in regional Victoria, please refer to my last tweet for the reason behind the lockdown. It was a precaution as 29 plane loads of people came into contact with a positive worker at an airport. A 5 day lockdown is better then a 5 month lockdown.

@stump_carlin Still can’t find a news story reporting about cases in regional Victoria. 1,000s of regional business have been closed, pre ordered food/supplies wasted, Country schools closed, no tradies working. Are they going to close the whole state every time Melbourne have a couple cases?

@mcconzy If you read up on the news jack you would know that one of the positive cases was working at the airport for 8 hours while infectious and came into contact with 29 returning domestic flights which is why the whole state is lockdown
