watched *This is Going to Hurt* yesterday. A great show but watching overworked physicians made me feel very guilty for not being nearly as overworked.

@megbasham by telling people his preferred pronouns? Is he wrestling with his identity & so feels uncomfortable sharing? Folks aren't asking for gender identity; they're just asking what about the preference is, kind of like asking if folks have nicknames they'd prefer to their given name

someone robbed a bank on Martha's Vineyard? It's an island and not a Hawaii kind of island. It's 9mi wide and 26mi long. AND, it's off-season so few people will be there. I'm going to go out on a limb h say these robbers are not the brightest.

student today told me that their classes are getting in the way of learning, that there's too much material given the amount of time. And this is not a student who is prioritizing social activities but one who loves to learn.

My favorite useless fact is that the guy who proposed modern Daylight Savings Time was an entomologist from New Zealand who wanted the extra daylight to catch bugs. That’s all.

Christianity should look like a preoccupation with loving others as ourselves, not an obsession with how others are not abiding by our own personal beliefs and how they should conform immediately.

contemplating the claim that most leaders (& I see teachers as leaders) are either good at "strategy" or relationships but rarely both. This rings true for me & helps me better understand what I need to work on
