🚨🗣️ @alex_crook on Andoni Iraola:
"Despite the fact he turned down the Tottenham job last summer and has been linked with Manchester United, I've been told we should not be surprised if he goes back to Spain with Athletic Club. He supported them as a boy. He made a lot of appearances for them.
He may still be a target for Manchester United if they decide to appoint within the Premier League, but I'm not sure he's particularly high on their wanted list.
There's obvious connections with Liverpool if Arne Slot goes. Richard Hughes was the sporting director who brought Iraola to Bournemouth."

Harry Maguire ban extended by one match after charge of improper conduct upheld. Will miss Chelsea game. Fourth official said Maguire called him "A joke... you're all a fucking joke," as he left the pitch folllowing his sending off v Bournemouth. Maguire also fined £30k

🚨 NEW: Manchester United still remain very happy with Michael Carrick. They are happy his attitude, tactical approach & relationship with the players.
Andoni Iraola would be open to the United job, but no negotiations so far.

@SimplyUtd@AndyMitten Ineos clueless. Carrick is not a premier league manager. 1 dimensional shit football take away the city and arsenal wins his record is crap. Struggled against every other team unless they have 10 men. Bruno and sesko carrying his inability with tactics. Last night was a far e
🚨🗣️ @AndyMitten on Michael Carrick’s future at Manchester United:
“Nothing has changed, if he gets Manchester United into the Champions League, he keeps the job.”
The club will continue assessing options long-term, but the current situation favours Carrick, he just needs to secure UCL.

Well...
Our game against Leeds yesterday once again proved that, despite the doubts around Diogo Dalot, he’s still a better option than Mazraoui.
I really wanted Mazraoui to work out, but watching him get targeted and beaten for 70 minutes was a tough watch.
He looks completely off the pace in these high-intensity matches, losing his man far too easily and offering almost nothing going forward.
We all can agree that you can't have a fullback playing that passively in a derby at Old Trafford.
The moment Dalot came on, the whole vibe changed. He actually gets tight to his winger and isn't afraid to put in a challenge or make an overlapping run to stretch the play.
Say what you want about his consistency, but Dalot brings a level of energy and physical presence that Mazraoui just hasn't shown yet.
It’s not about being harsh, it’s about what works. When the game was on the line and we were down to ten men, we needed players with fight, and Dalot showed more in his short cameo than Mazraoui did the entire time he was on the pitch.
Now we know, It is time to stop overthinking the selection and stick with the guy who actually impacts the game while Mazraoui can come on as a sub if need be. ❤️🙏🏻👌🏻💪🏻❤️👹 #MUFC#Twitter@geraintfrazer20@1957eddie@vincentmelinn@Roli_Mufc@suky01@SteveMUFC1962@graham_pitt@manufcnow@Indinlily@peterbroggs@DAVIDMUGGLE1@MUFCLinus@GillianYorke1@AkashPaul4@DNyeko@jamesaltham4@javedjalal42@ronak_manutd
