Checking your portfolio every day is not a strategy. It's a way to make yourself do something stupid. The more often you check, the more likely you are to react to noise. The best investors check rarely. Not because they don't care. Because they trust the thesis.

The most expensive investing mistake isn't picking the wrong stock. It's waiting for the right time to start. Every year you wait costs you a year of compounding you never get back. There is no right time. There is only now and later.

I'm now up ~75% on Crowdstrike since I called it. $CRWD and $NET are 2 stocks I really like and I trade. Will be trimming down this position now, take some profits and continue to monitor it until it stabilizes.

@mcgrawventure Love seeing people share their actual portfolios. VWRP as a core holding is hard to argue against long term, global diversification doing the heavy lifting while everything else adds the spice.

And we’re off! Please ignore the allocation it’s extremely skewered from SMGB performing well recently, over time $VWRP and $EQQB will outweigh the others

I’ll always look to back British businesses and $RR is my favourite right now Operating profit up 5x since 2022, £7bn+ in buybacks just announced, and the stock is up over 1,600% from its lows. I think we’ve still got a long way to go

Most people will spend 40 years working for money. Very few will spend 40 years making money work for them. The difference isn't intelligence. It's starting early and staying consistent.

@QuietWealth_UK Yes, the UK is bizarre for this and it’s great that there is this stashed away finex community where the rules are completely switched

I don't talk about money or investing with 95% of the people I know in real life. In the UK, talking about wanting financial independence is often mistaken for arrogance or greed. So you just play the game, nod along, and keep your head down. This account is the only place I can openly say: I've £60k invested, building to £100k, and I want out of the 9-5 grind early. Anyone else quietly doing the exact same thing? 🤫🇬🇧

@Swickdinging Eventually yes but I’m not going near it at the moment, everything is pre revenue and I’d much rather look at a sector like robotics which I don’t think is even nearly priced in yet!

Is Quantum computing the future? I have been banging on from the start of this account that it is the future! What do you think?
