NEW context for @CentralALWater fluoride decision: According to CAW records, 3 of the 4 plants in its system stopped putting fluoride in the water in 2023 & 2024 because of lack of maintenance back when the system was still the BWWB under old management with no notice to public. Once CAW’s leadership team learned that only Shades Mountain Filter Plant’s fluoridation system was the only one functioning, they say they realized it wouldn’t be right to have only part of the system fluoridated when they couldn’t afford to repair the other 3 plants for at least 2 years. Pretty much no one in Birmingham has had any fluoride in their water for two years.

Last night, U.S. forces executed a large-scale precision strike on Kharg Island, Iran. The strike destroyed naval mine storage facilities, missile storage bunkers, and multiple other military sites. U.S. forces successfully struck more than 90 Iranian military targets on Kharg Island, while preserving the oil infrastructure.

BREAKING: I've just confirmed the KC-135 refueling plane that is now missing in the Mideast during Operation Epic Fury is NOT based in Birmingham as part of the 117th Air Refueling Wing. The 117th is made up of KC-135's, but this missing plane is NOT from Birmingham.

Earlier today, an armed individual opened fire at Old Dominion University, leaving one person dead and two others wounded. The shooter is now deceased thanks to a group of brave students who stepped in and subdued him – actions that undoubtedly saved lives along with the quick response of law enforcement. The FBI is now investigating the shooting as an act of terrorism. Our Joint Terrorism Task Force is fully engaged, embedded with local authorities, and providing all resources necessary in the investigation. In the meantime, please pray for the victims, their families, and the ODU community.
