Cameroon's Paul Biya has extended his 43-year rule by wining a heavily disputed election. At 92, Biya's decision to stand for another seven-year mandate was contentious, not just for his longevity in power, but also because of his style of governance. bbc.in/3Jyx55U

For 40 years, we loved & shared everything: joy, pain, disappointments. In sickness, in health; for richer, for poorer. We worked with whatever life threw at us. We were blessed to raise five amazing kids. God has called back my Queen, Nestorine. RIP, my love.

In the United States the Republican Party of cheats, professional liars, scumbags and traitors to the republic have openly sanctioned #racism as the new order. And their Conservative counterpart in the United Kingdom are doing same. Where cometh these people?

3. As the video surfaced, the police have taken the onlooking teachers and headteacher into custody and the girls too. No society should encourage or tolerate such madness. This is disgusting and shameful. I weep for every human who looks like me

#Ambazonia - praying 2023 will show dramatic progress: alleviating suffering of Southern Cameroonians; unity (at least of purpose) among Ambazonian leaders; and recognition by #Cameroon Govt that their policies will never defeat Ambazonians' spirit.

On October 1, 1961, the former British territory, Southern Cameroons got independence and reunited with East Cameroon, French Cameroon. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, President Paul Biya reminded the people of the significance of Buea.

The foundations for this reunification were never quite settled, an are the source of what we know today as the anglophone crisis. In 1972, the federation was dissolved into a unitary state called the United Republic of Cameroon, keeping the 1961 borders which still exist today.

Then in 1984, President Biya, by decree, erased traces of the union and renamed the country La République du Cameroun, which was the name of one of the states that came into the federation in 1961.

It was that same year 1984 that Fon Gorgi Dinka, a lawyer, announced the independence of former Southern Cameroons and gave it the name Ambazonia, from Ambas Bay.
