The trop is like your best friend. You pick on him. You might even be mean to him. But no one else can talk to him like that. The Trop is a great place to watch a game. They have worked so hard to create a place that has a little bit of everything. The concessions are great. The prices aren't bad. They have all kinds of types of food. Home Plate Concessions are all your favs. The Outfield has all the goods. The baselines treat you good with ballpark favorites. The upper deck has the SkyDeck AYCE seats which is where I sat for opening day and it was phenomenal. The Rays are not my favorite team. They are my home team though. I root for them. I know their players. I watch their games. I attend games. And knowing that it rained twice on opening day...the repaired dome is an amazing thing to have. Is it the best ballpark I have ever been to...no. It isn't. But it is its own great and it is the home of the Rays. I love it. It has some history as well, the Lightning played there before they got their stadium. The Tampa Bay Storm played there. It has served it's purpose. The Rays and the Area Deserve more and better. I hope they get it. I was super excited for them to build on site and create a new place for the Rays to call home. But, I would be lying if I wasn't more excited for them to create a year round experience at the HCC location. The picture I have in my head of summer nights at the park and then the experience in their version of the battery (Atlanta). Then the Yankees Minor League games. It could become a baseball fans dream. The odds of you getting to see a game every night could become that easy. If they stay in St Pete...I will still go. If they move...I will still go. If they get closer to me...I will only go more. #RaysUp

Tampa Bay Rays CEO Ken Babby announced a “First One’s On Us” promotion tonight. Each fan who purchases a ticket to any Rays home game during the month of April will receive $10 in virtual Burst Bucks, per ticket, to be used for concessions or merchandise at Tropicana Field. “On behalf of our new ownership group and this exciting new moment for our franchise, we really wanted to do something special for the community to welcome them back to Tropicana Field and reward the resilience they’ve shown over the past eighteen months,” Babby said. “This is our way of saying thank you.” #RaysUp
