This is a photograph of Albert Einstein with an unassuming Indian man you probably haven’t heard enough about. He spent his life working on one idea: women should be able to live with dignity and make their own choices. Thread. 1/14

Incredibly grateful (Alhamdulillah) to have been awarded the IACR Travel Grant for my oral presentation at #IACR2026 held at the most beautiful @UnivofKashmir ! Thank you, IACR, for this recognition and for a fantastic conference in Kashmir! @CRI_ACTREC @biopatrika

We’re thrilled to announce the PRISM National Fellowship 2026 - a collaboration between Project EduAccess, @NCBS_Bangalore and @InSDB_79 - offering a 2-month funded research programme to nurture life science researchers from underrepresented & disadvantaged backgrounds in India.

Recently had a chance to visit my alma mater Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology, MS University of Baroda, Vadodara for the Ruby Jubilee Celebration. It was wonderful to meet past members of the department and interact with the present students. 1

Researchers at @THSTIFaridabad , have decoded the whole genome of Limosilactobacillus portuensis—a Gram-positive, rod-shaped bacterium isolated from the reproductive tract of Indian women in the GARBH-Ini cohort. A newly classified heterofermentative genus (2020), L. portuensis plays a key role in maintaining vaginal health by producing exopolysaccharides, lactate, and lowering pH, thereby reducing the risk of infections. This genomic insight deepens our understanding of beneficial microbes in women’s reproductive health. #ODOG #genomics #women #Healthcare @DrJitendraSingh @rajesh_gokhale
