I was excitedly figuring out how I could move my home office in there and make more room for the home gym when I woke up, realizing that not only do I not possess powers of reality rearrangement, there's nothing under my house but dirt and rock.

I had a dream last night where I was aware that I could rearrange living space with my mind, *and* I had forgotten that 2 floors of the Madsen Building (Lower Ground and Basement) - the home of the CS department when I was in ugrad - were under my house and available for my use.

Their paper states that syntactic pattern matching and semantic reasoning are performed separately, so it's unclear why the regular expressions and the DSL ought to be conflated. I'm guessing this was a convenient thing to do for their program synthesis.

Tonight’s dinner. Sunday roast. Lamb leg, gravy, mint sauce with rosé vinegar, exceptionally good potatoes and green beans. It’s been a while since I roasted a leg, as shoulders are the lamb roast of choice for most people these days. But there’s still life in the old legs yet.

I also got shouted at over the idea that there's some significant number of people who have medical issues that require them to drink tons of water. This just frankly seems made up, or at least, extremely rare.

I once had the temerity to agree with someone that otherwise healthy people didn't need to get up during lectures to *refill* their water bottles, which prompted a big talking-to from Disability Twitter about various real or imaginary ailments.

I'm always happy to review design documents for RE2. I mean, if supporting look-around assertions is easy, it wouldn't take people long to sketch out the necessary changes at a reasonable level of detail, right?
