Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya rolls in a motorcade of 16 fuel - guzzlers! But don't worry, he promises Gen Zs he'll downsize to just 2 vehicles if elected president. People don't realise is just how crazy this is. Trans Nzoia County generated only KSh 476 million in own-source revenue last year (every shilling collected from land rates, licenses, parking fees, mineral royalties, permits etc) That KSh 476 million is barely enough to maintain and run these 16 vehicles for one year. Here's a rough breakdown: Assume each vehicle costs KSh 40,000 per day (fuel plus per diems for 3 people at KSh 5,000 - 10,000 each, with fuel taking the rest). If the motorcade is on the road for 300 days a year, the total comes to: KSh 192 million (40,000 × 300 × 16). Add insurance for these high-end vehicles, servicing, car washing and detailing, minor repairs, and other costs, and you'll quickly realise that the people of Trans Nzoia, the County Assembly, the Deputy Governor, county employees, hospitals, and other essential services are left with less than KSh 100 million to share for the entire year. Everything else has been swallowed by Governor Natembeya’s motorcade…. But He is the best Governor, Yeeeeh! Because He is brave, He attacks the President and say things that we love to hear!!
