Momentum is building behind a potential New York City–Lake Placid Winter Olympics bid. Leaders say a joint model, inspired by Milano Cortina 2026, could combine existing infrastructure with a vision for future Games. 📷: Getty Images insidethegames.biz/articles/lake-…

With the end of the Olympics in sight, @tobi and I are donating 1M to Great to Gold, a distinct fund within the @CDNOlympicFDN that is very entrepreneurial and data driven. They run the numbers, pick the winners, and give them what they need. Of the 19 medals won by Canada so far, 15 of them are supported by Great to Gold. If your family has enjoyed the Olympics as much as we have, consider helping out the athletes that have brought us so much joy. Team Canada forever! olympic.ca/great-to-gold/

Is there lead in your protein powder? A new Consumer Reports investigation finds that more than two-thirds of the 23 protein powders tested “contained more lead [in a single serving] than CR’s food safety experts say is safe to consume in a day (0.5 mcg)—some by more than 10 times.” The biggest offenders? Plant-based powders: •Nearly all plant-based products had elevated lead levels, which were 9x the amount found in those made with dairy-based proteins and 2x that found in beef-based proteins. • Two had so much lead (1,200% to 1,600% of the level of concern) that CR cautioned against using them at all.
