Corporation tax, income tax, employee contributions & VAT, will mean that the average company owner is already paying far more to the government! Let's just go for the easy targets again🙄

Surely the main point on dividends is that it is after tax profits? So you/the business has already paid corporation tax on that income, which combined (especially at highest level) are often well over wage income tax bands anyway? High tax payer scenario: 45% vs 64.35% (25% + 39.35%) Lowest tax band scenario: 20% vs 27.75% (19% + 8.75) So there is already NO risk premium?

Stripping out dividend benefits removes the risk premium. Why would anyone start a business in the UK now?
