So y’all have probably seen the BYD crazy charging claims shown at MFR demos etc I went to a random dealership, found a crashed car, and plugged it in to see what happened More importantly is that the Gen 2 Blade LFP cell that will power every BYD EV is capable of this charging time. This means even the cheapest BYD car will charge just as fast as their top models, and they’ll all reach full in under 10 minutes. 🤯 So, while companies are still launching cars with 10-80% times in the 30 minute range, a little BYD Dolphin will soon do it in around 6 minutes. Go ahead, tell me again how slow charging EVs are acceptable? ⚡️ ⚡️

Took a Guangzhou taxi in January that was almost to 680,000 km. 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Driver said other than battery degradation of about 20% he’d had no other problems in 4 years. He and another guy drove it basically 24 hours a day. Can’t remember the brand…want to say it was Changan. Maybe someone can tell from the dash!

My taxi driver in his GAC Aion S had 344,000 km on the clock and no problems. Battery degradation was about 12% since new 5 years ago. Welcome in China 🇨🇳

The dental records show it. The conscription medicals, while they lasted, showed it. The thing the milk had been providing, the calcium, the vitamin D, the vitamin A, the complete amino acid profile, the conjugated linoleic acid, the fat-soluble nutrients that a growing skeleton requires in order to reach its genetic potential, was no longer arriving at morning break in a glass bottle with a foil cap. It was replaced, eventually, by nothing. Or by a carton of fruit juice. Or by a packet of crisps from the vending machine that appeared in the school corridor in the 1990s. The generation that drank the milk is now in its seventies and eighties. They are, on average, taller, stronger-boned, and longer-lived than the generation that came after them. The milk was not magic. The milk was milk. It was the thing the body needed, delivered at the time the body needed it, at a cost the government considered acceptable until it didn't. The cost of not providing it has been rather higher.
