@samuelthompson Everyone needs a little raise all ships vibe, imo. Negativity is a detriment to all, especially those who carry it and wield it like a weapon. This was not AI, just randomness while idle.
@samuelthompson Plumbers seem to have a much larger moat. I don’t see AI vastly disrupting blue collar jobs in the near future. Coders on the other hand…
I used the droid CLI to plan out a new feature for @fredrivett's here/now hit counter app to add a github style heatmap for user activity by day/hour
it's amazing just how easy it would be to continue building this out into a full customised personal analytics tool 🔥
@samuelthompson Makes total sense, and getting the lump sum up front definitely allows for rapid growth via paid avenues.
Would you use something like Flippa or Acquisition to find the SaaS products for sale?
@mecx isn't the point of business to continue to feed the sales monster?
with this model you would have way more cash to feed the machine vs a traditional SaaS cash conversion cycle
its all CAC:LTV, but this model would give you LTV immediately on acquisition
pros and cons for sure
@samuelthompson Wouldn’t you have to constantly feed the sales monster to continue to pay for the backend, or am I misunderstanding the business model?
@mecx would probably do usage based on the backend
the math doesn't change that much
its just a cash flow advantage
$30/month with 12 month average customer span = $360 LTV
So could i charge $299 lifetime and get the cash month 1
especially on saas where churn is a problem
Looking for a seamless, capable AI coding setup for secure SaaS development. I’ve heard good things about @TraycerAI@coderabbitai and other tools. Anyone have any recommendations for full stack app creation and/or learning material?
#aicoding#aicodingassistant#saas
@johnrushx Awesome list - thank you! Have you analyzed the security of each platform’s finished software?
Would you be interested in approaching it from that angle?
@samuelthompson I’ve been testing ChatGPT’s Agent mode recently to help find pain points in existing SaaS apps and recommend micro SaaS ideas based on the shortcomings.
Would you run FB ads to validate the idea, or would it depend on where the ideal users are spending their time?
a lot of people want to build SaaS companies.
nobody wants to validate an idea before spending time & money to build it.
launch a waitlist or lead magnet in 2 hours to test demand
(and prove you can acquire customers)
then build it
@DjPanfili@thesamocean I have a background in development and would love to learn more about marketing. Maybe we can work something out if you’re open to a conversation.
I already have one copywriter who’s an absolute 10/10.
Now our main focus is creating frameworks / AI processes for producing all of our deliverables so he can manage the workload of 3 copywriters by himself.
That way we can run a super lean creative team and focus on hiring A players who support the creative team (tech/automation specialists, funnel builders, media buyers, etc).
I’m also still heavily involved in fulfillment and don’t plan on removing myself any time soon due to the fact that we make the majority of our revenue from profit share.
Skill stacking is the way
Went from writing short form copy (emails & ads) for small $2k-$3k/mo retainers
To writing long form cold traffic copy (VSL’s, webinars, sales pages) for bigger one off fees $5k-$15k
To doing full campaign builds (ads, funnels, webinars, VSL’s, automations, ongoing split tests & media buying) with singular clients who pay out $30k-$40k in monthly retainers / commission fees
In other words, my income has gone up in direct correlation to my level of skill as a marketer
Short form copywriting made me my first $5k-$10k/mo
Long form got me to $20k/mo
Short form + long form + strategy got me to $30k/mo
Full campaign builds + ongoing optimization & media buying got me to the point where singular clients pay that on a recurring basis for our agency services
Stop obsessing over the money you’re making or the results you’re seeing TODAY
And start focusing on the skills you’re accumulating that will pay you forever
