This is not decency. This is performative stupidity. What I cannot get is why you’re even performing to be stupid. If a crime is committed, investigate the matter, get evidence, hear from the other party, address the crime, hold the accused accountable where he is found to be guilty, hold the accuser accountable where she is found to be making false allegations, and fight for justice. If everytime a rape offence is alleged to have been committed, the only thing in your head is to call all men rapists, then you’re a fool. You do not credit men when a man does something positive, but you want men to take fault when a man commits a wrong. You do not fault women for the crime committed by a woman. But you’re always quick to glorify women for the good done by one woman. Everything is absolutely right with countering with “not all men.” Nobody should be taking responsibility for the crime committed by another. If you’re too performative with your outrage, talk to the men in your family to stop raping women. Why are you leaving them and talking to men on social media? Most boys lost their virginity to adult women. You don’t see them blaming all women for child rape. We didn’t see you telling women to stop raping boys. Please get the fvck out with this stupid performance. You do not care about rape or victims. Just gender based agenda and performance against men. Okay, “All men.” What exactly has that solved? 🤡🤡
Martini Olakunle Akande@signor_martini

As a decent man, I understand the instinct to say “not all men.” You’re right, it’s not all men. Lol it can’t be all men. But you grew up with women or you at least have female friends and colleagues. MOST of them have stories of sexual harassment and sometimes sexual abuse. Real and painful stories. Abuses and harassment perpetuated by who? A man. You can’t know all these and your first reply will be “not all men”. The priority in that moment shouldn’t be “distancing yourself” from the problem, it should be listening to what’s being said and acknowledging the pattern. Everyone knows it’s not all men. Even the women saying “all men are guilty till proven innocent” know they’re wrong. However I understand that logic as a safety/defensive mechanism when interacting with men you don’t know. Back to the point. You don’t need to “defend men” in that moment. Lol most decent men aren’t asking you to defend them in that moment.

1. “However, you must know that false rape accusers are bold enough to come out with stories because we live in a society that treats rape with levity.” This makes no sense. False rape accusers are many in the society and thrive because they expect to be believed and get away with it. Punishing rapists has zero relevance with false rape allegation. People who lie about being raped do that because they expect an innocent person to be punished for rape and have his life destroyed. This is why I said every case of rape should be addressed on its merit because that determines if the allegation is true or false and who gets to be punished. 2. “A society that even celebrates it. Case in point.” What case in point? 3. “It’s very simple. If rapists know that a stiff punishment awaits, rape cases reduce and the attention false rape accusers crave also diminishes.” You’re reducing false rape allegation to attention as thought it is not an actual crime. The victim of false rape allegation is the person falsely accused of rape, not somebody that was raped elsewhere. False rape allegation has an actual victim - the person being lied against. His life’s destroyed. Stop reducing it to attention. If false rape accusers know they would be punished like actual rapists, false rape allegation would reduce. Rape already has a documented punishment in our laws. You just have to prove your case in court. False rape accusers still get away with destroying people because it has not been made a punishable offence yet to falsely accuse someone of rape. Finally, you actually take false rape allegations lightly. Your initial tweet showed that. This tweet below buttressed it. You were nowhere to be found when the TL was filled with over 300 cases of female rapists abusing children. This is not about rape or victims. You just have a problem with men. If you cannot speak about rape regardless of gender of the offender and victim or speak about false rape allegation, you are simply performative.
Hauwa 🌟🌬@Hauwa_L

I do not take false rape accusations lightly and nowhere in that tweet did I say that. I think wrong accused people suffer psychologically. However, you must know that false rape accusers are bold enough to come out with stories because we live in a society that treats rape with levity. A society that even celebrates it. Case in point. It’s very simple. If rapists know that a stiff punishment awaits, rape cases reduce and the attention false rape accusers crave also diminishes. People on the TL have condemned rape but I’m speaking on the people who only wake up when false rape accusations arise and are silent when rape occurs. So yes, those people are big giant fools.

Pause your emotions for five minutes and read this from a logical point of view… please. Before I get into it, I’d like to affirm that all rapists, regardless of gender, deserve the full extent of the law if proven guilty. In fact, a just God should not forgive rape. The only crime I can think of worse than rape is murder. That being said, men are builders. Men are providers. Men are protectors. To share in any of these titles, I, as a man, have to work hard. I have to be better. I have to upgrade and upskill, and I 100% accept these responsibilities. But why do I have to do absolutely nothing to receive the title of “potential rapist”? This statement, and many like it, often aim to shift the discussion from “some men are horrible” to “you, as a man, are part of something horrible,” even though I have never, not once in my life, raped anybody or even conceived thoughts of such an atrocity. No matter how emotionally resilient or stoic or male feminists or whatever you claim to be, this triggers your sense of being misjudged. All men are not rapists and all rapists are not men. It is a simple expression.. The usual response is: “Why does it trigger you if you know you’re not a rapist?” or “Why aren’t you lending your voice to call all men out?” Usually something along those lines. It’s simple. The statement, and the movement around it, violates the integrity of my own self identity. They create cognitive dissonance… a clash between who I know myself to be and how I am being portrayed. I understand that many women speak from a place of pain, fear, or past trauma. I’ve seen this firsthand, which is why I often avoid engaging in these conversations with those who have been directly affected when they go off. I recognize that, in many cases, their statements are not meant literally, but as an expression of lived experience. Many men usually choose to not reply or engage and some feel the need to counter making it seem like we do not care. Still, we care… and that is precisely why it affects us. Those who actually commit these crimes are unlikely to be influenced by generalized accusatory statements. Do you think the men who committed those atrocities are concerned with our bickering? The worthless POS plans to commit the same crime again sometime soon at the next festival. The only men who are affected are those who know they are not perpetrators, yet feel unfairly grouped as such. Framing the issue this way can also creates a dilemma: to support the movement, one generalizes or assigns guilt to other men who, like oneself, have done nothing wrong. I should not have to risk undermining the integrity of individuals I resonate with and know do not deserve such labels. We should be able to call out members within a group firmly and without compromise. And we can do it without assigning that behavior to every member of the group. Addressing a serious issue of this caliber does not require unfair generalization if your aim is to quell the fire. This statement only fans the flame.

False rape allegation, you were silent. We ran over 300 stories of women raping young boys, you were silent. Ozoro rape madness, you’re calling all men rapists and rape apologists. The men you’re attacking condemned rape, condemned false rape allegation, condemned child sexual abuse. You don’t care about anything because you don’t stand for anything. Push your agenda and go back to bed. You don’t matter.

@OreAkinde Get a jamb form, pick medicine, choose a residency in surgery, rise to a high position, set new policies to regulate BBL. You can do this, instead of sitting down whining senselessly behind a keyboard.

@Wizarab10 My parents didn't attend my matriculation, I told them not to that it's not that much of a celebration and travelling inter state, cooking and everything is too much. We would celebrate better during my induction, they agreed. But it was still a blast with my friends.

Special moments are special because of special people. I can understand her being hurt to have to spend this day alone. However, we do not know her parents location and financial situation. One thing I find hazy is women’s relationship. How have you not made any friend at the time of matriculation? No course mate and no roommate at least?
TENIOLA@Teeniiola

She was left out, nobody attended her matriculation. The lady was seen sitting alone on her matriculation day after none of her family members came to support her, and she doesn’t have friends in the school yet. 😫🙂‍↔️
