putting together a group chat for Codex power users in London / Europe who are the biggest ballers around?

I'm a big fan of taxes IF they worked Like I'd be fine paying even 50% personal income tax but then I'd want: - high quality roads with walkable sidewalks - police, fire brigade, ambulance that shows up fast - police that enforces laws, arrests criminals and a justice system that actually punishes them and keeps society safe - police that's at your house fast to protect you when you get a burglar or criminal - healthcare system where I can get helped fast, no waiting lists with preventative care (free blood work every 6mo) - fast fully digital government system - fast gov in general, like fast building permit approvals etc But in most countries you get absolutely none of this now so why would people wanna pay tax then? It's like paying for a service but you get nothing back or the service doesn't work and you're forced to pay it and you can't do a chargeback either!

networking as activity is mostly cope. e.g. the conference circuit, the warm intros, the moving to sf discussions or whatever, oh & the “grabbing coffee” economy.. all of this is overwhelmingly negative selection esp with vc (lol). the ppl worth knowing are usually too busy doing the thing to be farmable, & the ppl available to be networked w/ are available cuz they have literally nothing better going on. do the work, then publish it loudly enough that the right ppl can find you w/o you having to chase. one way broadcast > two way schmoozing. this is why x matters a ton now more than ever before.

𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐓𝐋𝐄𝐖𝐎𝐖 𝐆𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐔𝐏 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐀𝐘 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃𝐁𝐘𝐄 With Turtle WoW set to shut down on May 14th, the team is gearing up for one final goodbye for the players who have sunk thousands of hours into the private server. The Farewell Fair will offer the space and opportunity for everyone to get together one last time. I’ve never been part of the private server community myself but I’m sympathetic to the players who have dedicated so much of their free time to something that will soon be wiped away. If you plan on attending the event, please feel free to DM me screenshots or videos of the festivities as I’d like to feature them in a future post.

It’s been 10 years since Nostalrius was shut down and Blizzard suggested the idea of “pristine servers”

Golem Foundation and Golem Factory are contributing a combined 1000 ETH from our treasuries to @aave's coordinated DeFi relief effort following the rsETH incident. We've been working closely with the Aave team this week in a supporting capacity. Our contribution will go toward restoring rsETH backing and enabling an orderly resolution for affected stakeholders. Glad to stand with @aave and the rest of the ecosystem responding here. DeFi United.
