I have watched a few AI native builders operate with 100x leverage. It is astonishing what one person can now ship. The ramifications are real. But enterprises move slowly and the full impact will roll slowly. My bet - we will need more builders.
claire vo 🖤@clairevo

this is one of the more honest takes on what a ai native org will look like: fewer people, higher leverage, worth a lot more, but any inefficient node can be replaced with an agent. all the angry posts about this are missing the "you can make $1M cash if you do this well" part

If you skip some or all of college to start a startup, it's on you to develop your mind the way college would have. And that's not something that happens by default in most startups.

Twenty years working on JRuby and delivering hundreds of talks and here's the top five questions I still get: What is JRuby? Why should I use it? Do I need to know Java? Does it run Rails? And after my presentation: Why isn't everyone using this?!

This observation is true for the cloud transition too.

I have been in full manager mode for 20 years. Will be shipping code via Claude code, very soon.
TBPN@tbpn

.@garrytan says he's telling former technical CEOs to step out of manager mode and get back to building: "My output in terms of real products—not just lines of code—is 90x that of what it was in 2013." "I was talking with a bunch of former-very technical CEOs who now are in full manager-mode. I was like—good news, it's time to come back." "You can still be the manager during the day—but by night, you can be SpiderMan or Batman. You can don the suit, sacrifice a little sleep, and pull out the GStack."

There's a ton of Open Source developers out of work right now. The same developers that maintain the libraries and runtimes you all depend upon for your apps. The same libraries and runtimes all your AI code is built upon. Hire or sponsor someone today.

Lots of engineers think AI codegen is only good enough to do little bug fixes here and there If you tell them you can ship 15k LOC of ai gen code to prod they think you have lost your mind. It’s so so early. And also those engineers are living in 2025.

Massachusetts introduced a millionaire tax. In 2023, 41,000 residents left the state taking $4.2 billion with them. 70% of that came from the top tax bracket. Money moves. Always has. Always will.

Copilot is often the default approved choice. Claude code is where the leverage is at today. Great engineering leaders know when to follow policy and when to push past it.

Humbled to be selected for the Google for Startups Scale AI Program and for all your incredible support and hard work in helping Kanza AI build its foundational AI! 🙏 Graciela Castillo, Andrew Cokenour and Matt Gaither at @Google This is what Crossing the Compute Chasm feels like — sovereign clinical reasoning models, not wrappers. Vertical agentic AI applications. Trained on ground-truth episodes. Validated by healthcare experts and physicians who called it a new category. Proud of what the Kanza AI team has built — @meejeet @salarora raj narayan for the foundational AI engineering and our team — and grateful to @DonAntonucci Toby Cosgrove, Troy Tazbaz and other Kanza Healthcare experts for their support. Incredible what great technology — A3 HyperCompute H200 infrastructure from @googlecloud / @nvidia does to enable next-generation models and create the future of Health AI applications. #KanzaAI #GoogleCloud #ClinicalIntelligence #HealthcareAI #SovereignCompute #VerticalAgenticAI Google Cloud Post: by Graciela Castillo @googlecloud "It’s an honor to officially welcome Kanza AI to the Google for Startups Scale AI Program! Alongside Matt Gaither and Andrew Cokenour, I’m thrilled to support a team that isn’t just using AI, they are fundamentally bridging the "Compute Chasm" for healthcare. By leveraging Google’s high-performance infrastructure, Kanza AI is moving past simple "wrappers" to build deep, clinical-grade reasoning models. How Google Cloud technology has enabled them: ⚡ Extreme Agility: Achieving a rapid transition from provisioning in 2 days to fully operational in just one hour. 🔋 Massive Compute Power: Utilizing a unified fleet of NVIDIA A3 and G4 instances to train 70B and 120B+ parameter models. 🥼 Clinical Integrity: Creating a new category of vertical AI applications designed for clinical accuracy and validated by leading medical experts and physicians. The Google for Startups Scale AI Program is reserved for top-tier, high-growth startups—equipping them with exclusive resources and dedicated support to move at startup speed while building the next generation of industry-transforming AI. We are proud to provide the infrastructure that allows Kanza AI to build the reasoning layer for the future of medicine. Welcome to the program! ☁️🏥 #GoogleCloud #KanzaAI #GenerativeAI #HealthTech #NVIDIA #AIStartups @trotazbaz
