These comments are deeply ableist and honestly disturbing. I don’t know Meghan personally or her reasons for choosing surrogacy - and that’s exactly the point. Vilifying a woman for choosing surrogacy, without knowing her circumstances, is irrational and cruel. As someone with endometriosis who will likely need to pursue ethical surrogacy to have biological children, reading this is incredibly upsetting. Adoption is absolutely a valid option - but so is wanting to have a child who shares your DNA. Who are you to decide what’s acceptable for someone else? What’s especially baffling is how people can be anti-surrogacy while claiming to be pro-life. The contradiction is glaring. Stop policing women’s bodies.

@PopCrave Skin to skin here is doing nothing. The purpose is so that the baby can smell the one they’ve been inside for 9 months, hear the heartbeat she’s heard for 9 months, and get the hormones flowing to the mother for milk production. This is performative and dystopian.
